Using Revolut does not change which welcome bonus you can claim – card deposits almost always qualify. What decides whether a bonus is worth taking is the fine print: the wagering requirement, the maximum bet and the time limit. Here is how to read it.

How a deposit-match bonus works

Most welcome bonuses add a percentage of your deposit as bonus money. A 150% match on a €100 deposit gives €150 extra. You can play with it, but you cannot withdraw it – or what you win with it – until you have met the wagering requirement.

The wagering requirement is a multiple of the bonus. €150 at 40x means placing €6,000 of bets on eligible games before the balance becomes withdrawable.

A worked example

Deposit €100 at a 150%, 40x casino:

1. You get €150 bonus money.
2. Wagering is 40 × €150 = €6,000 on eligible slots.
3. On a 96% RTP slot, €6,000 of bets costs about €240 on average – more than the bonus itself.

So a typical session clears the bonus by using it up. The bonus buys more playing time and a chance of a good run; it is not free money. That is also why FieryPlay's no-wagering bonus is unusual: what you win with it is withdrawable straight away (subject to a possible maximum-win cap).

The three rules that decide the value

1. Wagering requirement – lower is better. 30–40x is normal offshore; "none" is excellent.
2. Maximum bet – usually ~€5 per spin while a bonus is active. One bigger spin can void the bonus.
3. Time limit – a few days to a week. Miss it and the bonus and its winnings are removed.

Also check which games count: slots usually 100%, table and live games much less, and some slots are excluded.

Should you take the bonus?

• Take it if you play slots, bet moderately and can finish wagering in time.
• Skip it if you play live casino or table games, like big bets, or want to withdraw whenever you choose.

You can usually decline the bonus at the cashier and just play with your own money.

Tip: Deposit with a Revolut card or Apple Pay to make sure you qualify for the bonus – card methods are almost never excluded, whereas a few casinos exclude some e-wallets.
